I’m not marching today. Instead, I’m writing letters to my daughters.
January 21, 2017
All over America people are marching for “Women’s Rights.” I don’t know what the future holds for you, sweet girl. Someday you might be in the most difficult situation of your life. You might be heading down a road you never thought you would be on. As your mother, I hope I have shown you that the most important job as a mother is to protect the lives of your children. No matter the circumstance, I hope you choose life for your baby. I hope you choose to give your child a chance in this world. It may be the tallest mountain you will ever climb. It may be the most emotional roller coaster you will ever be on. It could also be your greatest accomplishment and your proudest moment. You have what it takes to over come any and all obstacles in your life because you are a woman. You are strong. You are brave. You are courageous. Motherhood is the greatest gift God will ever give you. Someday you will understand this burning inside my soul. No matter what choices you make in life, my love for you is unconditional. I breathe for you. I live for you.
